According to the PC(USA) Book of Order, "Christian worship gives all glory and honor, praise and thanksgiving to the holy, triune God. We are gathered in worship to glorify the God who is present and active among us — particularly through the gifts of Word and Sacrament. We are sent out in service to glorify the same God who is present and active in the world. (Book of Order, W-1.0101)

At Philo Presbyterian, we worship at 9:30 a.m. all year long. Our worship services are between 45 and 60 minutes in length. There are several songs scattered through the service. You may sing along and engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. Our preacher of the morning will share an encouraging and hope-filled message.

Our congregation encourages parents and grandparents to bring their children into worship. The natural fidgeting and occasional cries of infants and children are accepted as a natural part of our worship of God. Children learn to worship by being in worship. All children, regardless of age, are welcome to join in the service of the Lord's table (Communion). There will often be a special time with our children as part of our worship service.

We offer the sacrament of communion once a month and on other special occasions.
