Here are the links to several organizations that we support and that support us. Many of these provide opportunities for us to offer love to our neighbors and to glorify God in concrete ways.
Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County - Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Illinois Crisis Nurseries - The Crisis Nursery Coalition of Illinois is a collaboration of Crisis Nurseries serving children and families using an emerging model of care through research and best practices while demonstrating a collective impact since 1996.
Courage Connection - The Courage Connection mission is to ensure everyone in our community has the education, support, and resources to live in safe, healthy relationships.
The Giving Place in Tolono - The Giving Place started as a way for community churches to minister to the Unit 7 School District and help those in need.
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) - This is our denomination. We are a community of 9,300 PCUSA congregations and about 1.1 million members.
"The Presbyterian Church (USA) as a denomination is distinctive in two major ways: they adhere to a pattern of religious thought known as Reformed theology and a form of government that stresses the active, representational leadership of both ministers and church members. The prominent theological themes of the church are the sovereignty of God, the authority of the scripture, justification by grace through faith, and the priesthood of all believers."
Synod of Lincoln Trails – This is our synod, comprised of over 1,000 PCUSA congregations in Illinois and Indiana.
The Mission of the Synod of Lincoln Trails PC(USA) is to develop, nurture and support leaders in partnership with our presbyteries and congregations, and to coordinate Presbyterian mission strategy within the Synod.
Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois - This is our presbytery. We are a community of nearly 5000 Christians who are members of 74 congregations within the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Marion Medical Mission - Marion Medical Mission is an ecumenical, Christian, front-line, hands-on, volunteer, non-profit organization that responds to Christ’s call to serve by working hand in hand with God’s people in Africa. We show the love of Christ through projects that directly impact the African people, stressing self-help and sustainability.
Kemmerer Village - Opened in 1914 as Kemmerer Orphan’s home, today Kemmerer Village is a Presbyterian home for children. Our campus sits on approximately sixty acres near Assumption, Illinois. The mission of Kemmerer Village is to provide a wide range of quality services to children and families who face stress and turmoil in their lives.
Camp Carew – Camp Carew provides children and young adults with Christian summer camps and can host retreats for persons of all ages throughout the year. Established in 1952, Camp Carew is built on sixty acres nine miles south of Carbondale, Illinois in the beautiful woods of Little Grassy Lake inside the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge and the Shawnee National Forest. Activities at Camp Carew are directed toward Christian community. Through group living in the small unit, campers and leaders are challenged to work, plan, play, study, sing, and worship together.
Presbyterian Foundation – This is our denomination’s ministry for planned giving, assisting those who wish to give, bequeath, or invest in ministries that build up the church.
PC(USA) Store – The PC(USA) Store equips congregations, leaders, study groups, and individuals with essential resources to deepen their understanding of Presbyterian beliefs, doctrines, and practices. With a comprehensive selection of PC(USA) materials, our mission is to support both new and established communities in their journey of growth, learning, and spiritual formation.
Presbytery Mission Shop – This is where you can buy shirts, mugs, bags, and other things with our presbytery's name on them. The profit from these sales goes to our shared mission programs.
